In October, my family suffered the heartbreaking and sudden loss of my younger sister, Brittany Fitzgerald. Before we could even begin to heal from that tragedy, we were faced with another unimaginable loss—our precious momma passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly. This year has been incredibly trying for our family, and the pain has been overwhelming.

As we navigate this difficult time, we are facing not only emotional challenges but also significant financial burdens. We have had to take out loans to cover expenses, and my mother was preparing for my baby brother’s senior year. I have also needed to take time off work to support my family and manage everything that comes with these losses. The costs of funeral services and the loss of income have added to the stress and heartache we are experiencing.
