Hi, my name is Courtney and I’m fundraising for my son, Finley, who’s almost 5. Back in March, our entire world was turned upside down when Finley was diagnosed with a brain tumour. We are eternally grateful to the incredible surgeons who successfully removed the tumour, and thankfully, it was benign.

However, while the surgery is behind us, the real mountain to climb has only just begun, and the aftermath of the operation has been completely devastating for him. The surgery has left Finley with severe physical damage down the left side of his body. But the hardest, most heartbreaking part of his recovery is what it has done to his mind. Because his tumour was located in his cerebellum, he is now suffering from a complex neurological condition that causes severe, volatile mood swings and intense anger. The cerebellum acts like the brain's emotional "thermostat." Right now, Finley’s thermostat is broken. His brain is working in absolute overdrive trying to heal and rebuild its emotional filters, which means he can switch from being perfectly fine to experiencing overwhelming frustration, anxiety, and rage in a split second. These outbursts are completely involuntary, and they leave him utterly exhausted and broken at the end of every day.

While we are incredibly fortunate to have his direct medical treatments and rehabilitation therapies fully covered by the NHS, managing a neurological recovery this severe at home brings massive hidden financial pressures that have left us completely drowning. I am updating this GoFundMe to desperately ask for your continued support to help us cover:

Constant Travel & Petrol Costs: Funding the ongoing transport back and forth to his frequent hospital, specialist, and rehab appointments.

Around-the-Clock Daily Living: Supporting our household bills and daily expenses so I can focus entirely on providing the constant, 24/7 care and emotional regulation he needs on his worst days.

Sensory & Comfort Tools: Funding specialized comfort items, bedroom adaptations, or sensory tools at home to help him safely decompress when his anger and sensory overload spike. We are at an absolute breaking point, both emotionally and financially. I just want to give Finley the peaceful, supported environment he deserves while his brain tries to heal from this trauma. Any donation, no matter how small, takes a massive weight off my shoulders and goes directly toward Finley's daily quality of life.

If you can’t donate, please just hit the share button - it helps more than you know. ❤️

Thank you so much for all the love, messages, and continuous support we’ve already received x
