This is my dad. Father of 5 Daughters, Grandfather to 7 kids. Husband to one strong woman. My dad, Filemon, fought with incredible strength, courage, and determination throughout his health journey. Sadly, on Friday January 9 he passed away surrounded by his loved ones. In the weeks leading up to his passing, we received heartbreaking news that his body had developed terminal cancer along with a severe infection. Due to his fragile condition following the lung transplant he received earlier this year, his body was no longer able to fight as it once could.

We are profoundly grateful for the love and prayers that helped give my Dad hope and comfort during his transplant journey. Today, we humbly ask for support once more as we prepare to lay him to rest. Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated, and even sharing this page with friends and family means more than words can express.

The kindness, messages, and love shown during this incredibly difficult time have been a great source of comfort to our family. My Dad leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, and love.

He often reminded us: “I have lived a wonderfully fulfilling life. God has given me a great wife, five beautiful daughters, and wonderful grandchildren.”
