We are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of Fernando Martinez, a cherished member of the Greenbrier community, who left us on the evening of April 17th due to a ruptured aorta.

Fernando was more than a neighbor—he was a kind, hardworking, and caring presence whose warmth touched so many. He leaves behind his beautiful children, Alejandro and Sophia, who were the center of his world. His love for them was evident in everything he did, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void in their lives and in our community.

We are raising funds to support Fernando’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Contributions will go toward funeral arrangements and ensuring that Fernando can be laid to rest in Puerto Rico, surrounded by his dear mother and extended family. Any remaining funds will be set aside to support Alejandro and Sophia as they navigate the days ahead.

Sus hijos Sofia Elizabeth y Alejandro, su madre Miriam y demás familiares les agradecen sus muestras de condolencia y cariño en sus momentos de dolor y les informan que será expuesto en capilla este proximo Domingo 26 de abril de 2026 desde las 10am en adelante. El sepelio se llevará a cabo el lunes 27 de abril de 2026. partiendo la comitiva fúnebre a las 11am hacia el Cementerio Municipal de Sabana Grande. Que en paz descanse su alma.

We announce the unfortunate passing of Fernando Martinez Padilla, a native of Rio Piedras and resident of Maryland. Their children Sofia Elizabeth and Alejandro, their mother Miriam and other family members thank them for their condolences and affection in their moments of pain and inform you that it will be exhibited in the chapel this coming Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 10am onwards. The burial will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026. leaving the funeral procession at 11 am to the Municipal Cemetery of Sabana Grande. May his soul rest in peace.
