My name is Fatima Fayeq Abdul Badawi, and I never imagined I would one day have to ask strangers for help just to feed my children. But today, I stand before you as a grieving widow and a mother who is struggling to keep her children alive.
My husband was martyred in the war. He was not just my partner in life — he was the provider, the protector, and the heart of our family. When he was taken from us, our world collapsed. The sound of his laughter disappeared from our home, and the safety we once felt was replaced with fear and uncertainty.
Now, I am left alone to care for our orphaned children in the middle of hardship and instability. Every morning, I wake up with one heavy question in my heart: How will I feed them today? Food has become scarce and expensive. Basic necessities that most families take for granted are now luxuries for us. There are days when I have to choose between buying bread or medicine. There are nights when my children go to sleep hungry, and I sit beside them feeling helpless.
As a mother, nothing is more painful than watching your child cry from hunger and not having the means to comfort them. They are innocent. They did not choose this life. They lost their father, and now they face a future filled with uncertainty.
I am not asking for luxury. I am not asking for comfort. I am simply asking for help to provide food, clean water, clothing, and basic necessities for my children. Your donation, no matter how small it may seem, can help put a meal on our table. It can help restore a small sense of dignity to our lives. It can help give my children hope that the world has not forgotten them.
Every contribution will go directly toward:
Providing daily meals for my children
Purchasing clean drinking water
Buying essential clothing and hygiene supplies
Covering urgent medical needs if they arise
In times like these, community and compassion mean everything. Even if you cannot donate, sharing our story can help us reach someone who can.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for reading my story. Thank you for caring. Thank you for standing with a widow and her orphaned children during the darkest time of our lives.
May your kindness return to you multiplied.
With hope and gratitude,
Fatima Fayeq Abdul Badawi
