Support for Fannie Dumas' Cremation Costs

Donation protected
Before anything else, I would like to thank you all. Whether you donate, share or both my sisters and I greatly appreciate your contributions in our time of need.
I'd like to begin by telling you a bit about our mother. Fannie was a force of nature, who faced every obstacle life threw at her with the same strength of will and quick whit that allowed her to raise 3 fiercely independent daughters. She married the love of her life in 1997 and together they pursued the great adventure of life for 27 years. In that time she raised her children, watched them raise their own children, celebrated 30 years of sobriety, battled and beat cancer more than once, and most notably she lived and died on her own terms. Even in the face of the worst of the leukemia she held her head high, powering through with determination she was so well known for. After more than 4 years and a bone marrow transplant she won that battle only to begin another battle of a different kind. Losing her home to a fire near the end of her treatments my mother never once gave up. She saw no other option but to rebuild, to remake the life and home she had shared with her husband and granddaughter for so many years. 2 long years later when she moved back into her newly rebuilt home she was finally able to relax. She spent another year in her home enjoying the fruits of her lifetime of labor. She spent what we did not know were her last days reading and watching Doctor Who while enjoying the company of her husband, her children, her grandbabies, and her dogs.
Knowing her ability to survive against insurmountable odds we truly believed we had more time with her. Though we were unprepared for her passing we are comforted by the knowledge that she left this life in exactly the same manner she had done everything else in her life. On her own terms, exactly the way she wanted.
Fannie Dumas passed peacefully from this life to the next on Sunday, August 25th, at home in her bed, and in the end she was surrounded by her family and the love they had for her.
Unfortunately because we were unprepared for the loss we find ourselves in need of financial support. Everything our mother had went into her battle with leukemia and rebuilding her home. Much of what we had did also. We understand that everyone is struggling in these trying times, we've tried to keep costs as low as possible. We're asking for help to cover the cost of cremation expenses, and we appreciate any help offered whether it's $1 or $100 we are grateful for you and your generosity.
