Hello, I am Jen Dean and I am a mother and women owned business owner in South Portland Maine. I am doing this fundraiser for a friend of my daughter who's family has been torn apart by ICE. A familiar story has played out locally and the mother and her 3 children are here with no job or help.

The father was taken, on false charges, and detained in horrible and inhumane conditions. They couldn't find him for many weeks. (We can only imagine what that would be like.) He finally called from his home country, where it is not safe for him to be. He has been hospitalized and doctors were amazed he is still alive after his weeks of suffering without food, water and sleep.

Mother has a long term illness and doesn't drive, has three kids at home and is struggling to make ends meet. We would like to raise enough money to help them pay the rent, buy food and pay other bills while they try and find a less expensive place to live.

Even $5.00 from many people will go a long way to helping this family during this trying time.
