Support for Family of Jason Gibson

On January 29, 2021, Jason's LCCC family learned of his sudden and unexpected passing. Jason was a giant at LCCC, always working hard for the underdog, supporting students and identifying ways we can make the world a better place for individuals transforming their lives through education. He was also a joy to be around, a friend to everyone, and had a knack for building bridges and bringing people together.
While the LCCC work family is feeling the impact of a tremendous loss, Jason's family is also working through the impact of this sudden news. As a father, fiance, and son, Jason was also a rock for many outside of his professional role, too.
Funds raised will be provided directly to the family of Jason Gibson. While it is difficult to fully anticipate their needs at this time, funds raised will provide support for short-term needs and memorial planning, decreasing financial strains as the family begins a long healing process in light of this loss.

Marisa Vernon White is a friend and supervisor of Jason Gibson. The direct transfer of these funds (individual able to withdrawal from them when needed) is an immediate family member of Jason's who can assist in linking the funds with family needs at this time. Funds raised are being used to address immediate needs to prepare for Jason's memorials, to assist his beloved children with short-term needs in the sudden loss of their father, and to fill in financial and basic needs gaps while the family navigates the estate, benefit plans, and other supports moving forward.
