My dad was diagnosed with melanoma last month. He became really weak while receiving treatment and quickly deteriorated to stage 4. He is in hospice with very little time left. My mother is struggling with her own medical issues and is no longer able to live on her own either. I was able to find assisted living for my mother with hospice for my father. We will barely be able to afford the monthly payments. I need help covering the first month's payment; after that, I should be able to afford it each month with their social security and very modest retirement funds. I am also wondering how to cover moving expenses (I am here alone trying to get everything out of their apartment) and the inevitable burial/cremation costs that are coming.

I quit my incredibly abusive job last year and am still looking for full-time work as well as dealing with my own medical issues the last few years. I am in an incredibly vulnerable spot and really have no other choice but to look for help here.
