My name is Katja, and I am reaching out for support during a challenging time for my family. In 2024, my father lost his full-time job, which has put a significant strain on our household. I have also been denied government benefits for disability because I have too much work history, even though I live with cerebral palsy. My condition brings me mostly physical struggles like standing for too long, walking long distances, and lifting heavy objects. This makes it difficult for me to work a full-time job that requires physical labor and I am doing my best to find ways to contribute to my family’s well-being.

On top of these challenges, my grandmother is getting to the age where she needs additional care. We want to bring her into our home so she can be safe and comfortable, but our house needs repairs and improvements to make this possible. I am working hard to transition into a remote job so I can stay home and assist my family as much as I can. Any support will go directly towards making our home accessible for my grandmother, and if there are additional funds, they will help me purchase a desktop computer and enroll in online bookkeeping courses to build a more stable future.
