On June 11th, my former student's mom and brother were detained and taken by ICE after her oldest son was in an accident. My former student is a child with special needs and medically fragile who requires 24/7 care. His stepdad is now left to care for him and his younger brother alone. The family is now facing the challenge of navigating daily life and seeking legal help to fight for the mom and brother to stay.

The funds raised will go directly toward legal fees, daily care, food, and house utilities for the family. With the sudden absence of their mother, the stepdad is doing his best to provide stability and comfort for the children, but the challenges are immense. Every contribution will help ease the burden and ensure the family can focus on what matters most, caring for the children and fighting to bring their mom home.

I had the privilege of working closely with this student and their family, and they hold a special place in my heart. Everything this woman does is for the better of her three sons. Thank you for all your support and prayers during this difficult time.

El 11 de junio, la madre y el hermano de un exalumno mío fueron detenidos y llevados por ICE tras un accidente que sufrió su hijo mayor. Mi exalumno es un niño con necesidades especiales y una salud delicada que requiere cuidados las 24 horas del día. Ahora, su padrastro ha quedado a cargo de él y de su hermano menor, asumiendo la responsabilidad en solitario. La familia se enfrenta al reto de sobrellevar el día a día y buscar ayuda legal para luchar por que la madre y el hermano puedan quedarse.

Los fondos recaudados se destinarán directamente a cubrir gastos legales, cuidados diarios, alimentación y servicios básicos del hogar para la familia. Ante la repentina ausencia de la madre, el padrastro hace todo lo posible por brindar estabilidad y consuelo a los niños, pero los desafíos son enormes. Cada contribución ayudará a aliviar la carga y permitirá que la familia se concentre en lo más importante: cuidar de los niños y luchar para traer a la madre de vuelta a casa.

Tuve el privilegio de trabajar estrechamente con este alumno y su familia, y ocupan un lugar muy especial en mi corazón. Todo lo que esta mujer hace es por el bienestar de sus tres hijos. Gracias por todo su apoyo y sus oraciones durante este momento tan difícil.
