I’m reaching out during a time of deep uncertainty for our family and in behalf of Malcom, Derrick's son.

Following an unexpected and concerning situation, my son’s father is currently missing. As we continue searching and working through appropriate channels, my focus is on maintaining stability for Malcolm during this difficult period.

Although Malcolm stays in this home part-time, it remains an important and familiar place for him, one tied to routine, comfort, and a connection to his father. Malcol. nonverbal and autistic, and familiar environments are especially important for his sense of safety and regulation. Losing access to this home during an already uncertain time would be deeply disruptive for him.

Right now, the home is at risk due to missed mortgage payments during this absence. The purpose of this fundraiser is to temporarily cover the mortgage and essential household expenses so this home is not lost while we navigate what comes next, including being eligible to request a forebearance from the lender. We havd until the 16th to the have the payment to the lender.

Funds raised will be used for:

* Mortgage payments

* Preventing foreclosure during this interim period

*Other things related to the ongoing efforts to locate Derrick, as appropriate.
