This past year has brought unimaginable challenges for my aunt and her family. Her husband has been battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer for a year and a half, and just last week, she received news of her own that has not been officially diagnosed yet but they are calling esophageal cancer. As they navigate two difficult journeys at once, the emotional and financial strain has become overwhelming. Despite everything, my aunt continues to work as many hours as she can—balancing her job, the household, and caring for her husband—all while raising their 16-year-old. With mounting medical bills, treatment costs, and daily living expenses, they are struggling to stay afloat, and the road ahead will only become more difficult with her recent diagnosis. We are asking for help to ease some of this burden so they can focus on healing, supporting each other, and being present for their son.
