Support For Family After Tragically Losing Alex

Hi, my name is Heather, and I’m reaching out during one of the most heartbreaking moments our family has ever faced. My brother was tragically taken from us in an act of violence that no one should ever have to experience. We are devastated, and trying to process this unimaginable loss has been overwhelming.

Alex wasn’t just a good person—he was the kind of person who lit up every room he walked into. He had a heart bigger than most, always the first to lend a hand, even to a stranger. If you needed help, Alex was there—no questions asked. He played an irreplaceable role in building our family-owned landscaping business from the ground up, and took so much pride in what we created together. It meant everything to him.

He loved deeply and lived fully. Family was his foundation. He had a passion for dirt bikes, and an even deeper love for fishing. Every weekend, without fail, he’d be out on the water, launching from the same boat ramp, rod in hand and peace in his heart. That was his sanctuary.

Losing him has left a hole in our lives that words can't describe.

He was tragically murdered after launching his boat at a public boat ramp near the Oasis Grand Condos. After parking his truck and trailer, he got out and started walking back to the ramp, when a monster did the unthinkable and shot Alex multiple times and proceeded to run away. Mallory ran over and attempted CPR, but unfortunately the damage was too severe and he was pronounced deceased.

In the wake of this tragedy, his loving fiancé, Mallory, has been left to cope with not only profound grief, but also the sudden and immense financial burden that comes with such a traumatic event. From basic living expenses to the unforeseen costs related to this ordeal, we as a family are now carrying an enormous weight—emotionally and financially.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease some of that burden. The funds raised will go directly to help cover rent, bills, food, and any other costs she faces as she navigates this painful chapter without Alex. Funds will also be used in the planning of his memorial. We hope to provide some peace of mind so we can all take the time we need to grieve and begin to heal.
