Our hearts are shattered beyond words. Yesterday, Hunter, our 7-year-old son, grandson, and brother was tragically killed in a devastating accident involving his school bus. In a single moment, our family’s world changed forever. He was a bright, loving, energetic little boy who brought joy everywhere he went. He loved deeply, laughed loudly, and had a smile that could light up any room. The loss of such a beautiful child is something no parent should ever have to endure.

As my daughter and her husband face unimaginable grief, they are also carrying overwhelming emotional and financial stress. My daughter is in the very early stages of pregnancy while navigating the devastating loss of her son. At the same time, she has been denied unemployment, creating even more uncertainty during a time when she should only be focused on healing and protecting her health.

Our family is now facing funeral and memorial expenses, lost income, counseling and support services, and the many unexpected costs that follow a tragedy no family could ever prepare for. We are asking for help to surround them with love, stability, and support during the darkest time of their lives.
