My daughter and her two children are facing an unimaginable tragedy. On Wednesday night, Caleb Suit, her husband and the father of her children was struck by a drunk driver. The accident left him with devastating injuries, and after several days on life support, he has been declared brain dead. Our family is heartbroken as we prepare for the painful reality of saying goodbye.
Caleb was a proud U.S. Army veteran who honorably served his country through two tours in Afghanistan and a tour in Cuba. After his military service, he built a successful career as an engineer at Blue Origin, where he continued dedicating himself to work that made a difference. Caleb was a loving husband, devoted father, son, brother, friend, and provider whose loss leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of everyone who knew him.
This sudden tragedy has left my daughter facing not only overwhelming grief, but also significant financial challenges. She must now navigate funeral expenses, household bills, and the ongoing care of their son, who has special needs and requires full-time, indefinite therapy and support. The burden is immense, and we are reaching out to ask for help during this incredibly difficult time.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial strain and allow my daughter to focus on caring for her children and honoring her husband’s memory. If you are unable to donate, we would be grateful for your prayers, kind thoughts, and for sharing this message with others.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support during this heartbreaking time.
