On Sunday, March 15th, our family suffered the unexpected loss of my mother-in-law. On Wednesday, March 11th my MIL developed flu-like symptoms. By Saturday we learned she had strep bacteria in her blood, and by Sunday she was gone. Her unexpected passing has brought deep pain to our family, and in the midst of our grief, we have also faced many unexpected expenses.

We needed to cover travel, lodging, and food, as well as cremation services and urns for her remains. We also had to recover her storage units to make sure her belongings were safe. In addition, we will need to fly to North Carolina, rent U-Hauls, and drive her belongings back to Idaho so her memory and possessions can remain close to family.

We have done everything we can to handle her affairs with respect and care, but these costs have put a real strain on our household budget. As we work to regain stability, we are humbly asking for support from anyone willing to help.
