Their loving mother, Maria Lourdes Munoz has been fighting a courageous battle against brain cancer, but her condition has worsened, and she is now nearing the end of her journey. She is in hospice now at home. She will leave behind five children, who are struggling to cope with the heartbreak of losing their mother. As a family, we are trying to come to terms with this devastating reality, but they are also facing significant financial challenges. In addition to the emotional burden, we must now cover the costs of our mother’s funeral and related expenses, which is overwhelming given our limited financial resources. One of the greatest challenges we face is ensuring that our youngest sibling, who is just 11 years old, receives the care and support she needs. Our 23-year-old sister, will become her legal guardian and take on the responsibility of raising Melissa. Nicole is not only stepping into the role of a mother figure but also trying to balance her college education and work.
