My brother-in-law and his family, who recently moved into a new apartment with their 4-month-old son, lost their apartment and all of their belongings in a fire on July 17th. While their renter's insurance will eventually help cover the property that was lost, it will take some time before they receive any funds. In the meantime, they are facing immediate expenses for replacing essentials for their newborn.
