I am the god daughter of two dear family members who were critically injured in the heartbreaking attack at Bondi Beach’s Hanukkah celebration. I am also very close to two of their friends who were also seriously hurt in the same tragedy.

I currently live in Queensland with my partner, and I traveled back to Sydney to be by their sides at the hospital and offer whatever support I can. My heart aches deeply for them and everyone affected as we face this unimaginable pain.

I am personally handling this fundraiser during such an overwhelming time for our family.

The individuals affected are:

• My godfather, M.H.

• My godmother, S.H.

• Their close friends, A.L. and J.P.

All donations will go directly toward covering their outstanding medical bills. Medicare covers some costs, but not everything including certain tests and medications not covered by the PBS, specialist treatment (physiotherapy, psychologists, and psychiatrists), and especially for the two victims who are international students on visas and must pay privately for all treatment as they do not have access to Medicare. Every dollar will help ease their burden so they can focus on healing and being together.

I am doing this with full permission and in close contact with the families.

The funds raised will be withdrawn to my personal Australian bank account. I will then use the money to pay their medical costs directly either by paying the providers on their behalf or reimbursing them for expenses already paid.
