Support for Families Displaced by the Floods in Brazil
Donation protected
The recent flooding in the Southernmost state in Brazil affected 441 towns, and left 341,000 people without a home. My hometown, Canoas, was one of the places most affected by the floods. Four of my aunts, all of whom are widows and octogenarians, lost everything. Eight of my cousins also lost everything they owned. These are people who live on our equivalent to Social Security. These funds will help them with clean-ups, repairs, and replacing furniture, appliances, and clothing. The amount raised will be split between those twelve families.
I know many of you wish to help but aren’t sure how. That’s why I created this crowd funding to help my family members rebuild their lives. Since Brazil is a developing country with a lower cost-of-living, any amount in dollars goes a long way. Your help is greatly appreciated.
I created this go-fund-me for my family members. However, if you prefer to donate to another non-profit that will help other victims of the floods, I recommend this one:
