Faith Mauricio is a devoted young mother who recently experienced the unimaginable loss of her first and only child, Hezekiah. Hezekiah was just two months old when he passed away unexpectedly, leaving Faith and our entire family heartbroken and in shock. Faith doted on her baby, surrounding him with love, care, and the support of family and friends. Now, she is navigating a grief no parent should ever have to face, and we are doing everything we can to support her through this devastating time.

The costs of a funeral, memorial, flowers, and all the things that come with saying goodbye to a child are overwhelming. We were not prepared for this tragedy, and the expenses continue to add up—baby coffin, a special outfit for Hezekiah, a simple black dress and shoes for Faith, and other unexpected needs. Faith wants to give her son a loving farewell, and we want to help her do that without the added stress of financial worry.

Faith shared this memory of her time with Hezekiah: “A memory I have of him is the first day I was healing from surgery in the hospital. I wanted to see my baby as soon as I could feel my legs. I made myself walk around my room in so much pain just to go see Hezzy. I touched his hand and told him how much I love him and that we would be home together soon. I spent hours just looking at him, wanting him in my arms. I kept going to see him in the NICU every day until he came out. The first time I held him, I fell immediately in love with him—his eyes were so big. My dad looked at me and said, ‘You made this handsome boy,’ and I just held him so close. He was so energetic, and I knew he was going to be a quick learner because he was picking up his head so fast. I just miss him so much.”
