February 2, 2026 was the hardest day ever for my family. My daughter Carolyn and my son-in-law Chase lost their beloved son Ezra yesterday morning, unexpectedly and suddenly at the age of four. Ezra was a nonverbal, artistic child who communicated through pitched sounds and hand signals. He brought so much joy to our lives and was taken from us far too soon. We are all heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with this loss.
Ezra’s unique way of connecting with the world touched everyone who knew him. His laughter, creativity, and gentle spirit made every day brighter for our family. The suddenness of his passing has left us not only grieving, but also facing the overwhelming costs of saying goodbye. We want to honor Ezra’s memory with a service that reflects the love and light he brought into our lives.
We are reaching out to our community for support as we navigate this unimaginable time. The funds raised will help cover the cost of Ezra’s funeral and provide some relief to his family as they grieve. Any and all donations are deeply appreciated, and your kindness means the world to us. Thank you in advance for your support and compassion. With gratitude, Ezra’s Gigi, Grace Engelhardt.
