Our son is 17 years old, standing on the edge of adulthood, dreaming about driving, reading freely, and building his future. But right now, his vision is slowly slipping away.
My name is Natalie, and my husband is David. We are reaching out with humbled hearts to ask for help for our son, who has been diagnosed with keratoconus, a fast-progressing eye disease that causes the cornea to thin and distort. As the condition worsens, his vision becomes more blurred and unstable, making even everyday tasks increasingly difficult.
Watching your child struggle with something you cannot fix on your own is heartbreaking. Simple milestones many teenagers look forward to, earning a driver’s license, reading a book, recognizing faces from across the room, feel painfully out of reach for him right now.
Doctors have told us that eye surgery is urgently needed to slow the progression of this disease and preserve what vision he still has. Without it, the risk of permanent vision loss continues to grow.
Unfortunately, our insurance will not cover the procedure or the required aftercare, leaving us responsible for the full cost.
We are trying to raise $17,000 to cover the surgery and recovery expenses, an overwhelming amount for our family, but one that could change our son’s life forever.
If you are able to help in any way, through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this page, we would be endlessly grateful. Every act of kindness brings us one step closer to protecting our son’s sight and giving him the chance to experience the future he deserves.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for holding our family in your hearts.
God bless.
