After months of excruciating pain, on July 30th, Evy had an operation for ovarian cancer. Being that the cancer spread to her bladder and colon, the operation took over 8 hours, with 4 doctors and 2  anesthetist.  
     After 2 weeks in the hospital, she was able to come home and start her recovery. The surgeons manage to get most of the disease out (thank god), but the fight is not over.  She will have to undergo multiple treatments of chemotherapy to kill the rest of the cancer cells.
     We had some savings, but the cost of each individual doctor, anesthetist, physical therapy sessions, office visits and chemotherapy is unimaginable. We could use as much help as possible to cover the cost of medical fees that is not covered by insurance. We have already reached over $500,000 in medical bills, not all covered by insurance. 
     Anyone who knows Evy, knows that she is the sweetest, kindest most gentle person, with so much love to give. We are all not just friends, we are family and we all will get through this together.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. New update, back in the hospital. Got a bad infection and needed a blood transfusion and several rounds of different antibiotics.
