Support for Everett Nash

As many may know, on January 30, 2019 Everett was working and suffered a fall from a single story roof. He fell on his head, resulting in a severe traumatic brain injury and has been in a neuro ICU unit since. He has had significant swelling and bleeding on his brain during this time resulting in many short term changes and an unknown long term prognosis. Every day is different as Everett's progress is constantly changing.  An "ebb and flow" if you will. Some days are better than others. Due to his current condition he has not been able to have many visitors- he needs very little stimuli to keep the pressure on his brain low enough for healing. This is critical for his chance of the best recovery possible. It is difficult to feel you cannot be with those you love while they are in need, but these restrictions are necessary at this time at the advice of his medical team.

His wife, Deborah, is driving nearly 100 miles per day and spending countless hours by his side until the hospital staff encourage her to go home and rest. The days are long and overwhelming, but she stays by his side as long as she can.

Though he is making some progress, the road to recovery is expected to be a long one with many different types of intense therapy and ongoing monitoring of his condition.  According to his medical team, this time period will vary, is unpredictable, and can take years.  He will be re-learning many of the day to day activities we take for granted and currently needs eyes on him at all times. It will be a long, challenging, and expensive journey moving forward.

Although this is a work related accident covered by his employer's accidental injury insurance, there are and will continue to be expenses that will not be covered in the plan.
Starting next week his paychecks will be reduced to only 40% of his normal income and it is currently unknown how long before his income stops. Also, next week he will no longer be a full time employee, will not qualify for his employer's private insurance benefits, and will be using a COBRA plan. (which will be significantly more expensive.)

His family is incredibly grateful for the immense outpouring of support and love during this time. It has not gone unnoticed.
Everett is a special and unique person and has impacted so many lives he has come in contact with.  Though he is unable to have visitors now, he and his family do need the love and support you have in your hearts. Now and as his journey to healing continues.
Financial contributions are appreciated for the reasons listed above.  Every dollar adds up and will make an impact in Everett's journey.
Strong and frequent prayers, positive vibes, open ears, soft shoulders, gathering together in support- these are all necessary and appreciated as well.
