On January 19th, our family and friends were hit with terrible news in the San Diego community. With heavy hearts, today we are raising funds for Evelyn Virgen's funeral arrangements after her tragic passing due to gun violence.

Evelyn Virgen was a 28-year-old caregiver and devout mother of 5 boys who lived and worked to support and provide for her beautiful children.

Every decision she made was rooted in love for her kids and the future she was building for them. Her laughter, strength, and determination filled every room she entered, and her absence leaves a silence words cannot describe. She will forever be missed and remembered and no gathering will ever be the same without Evy.

Sadly, her young boys must now go through life without their mother — without their comfort, guidance, and unconditional love. Three of the boys are 2 years and younger, and the other two are 7 and 9. We cannot undo what has happened, but we can come together to provide a safe space for her children to visit and honor their mother. As well as help provide some security their mother worked so hard for.
