My mother, Evelyn McDonald, was a loving, generous, and highly spirited woman who made an impact on the lives of everyone around her. Even at 72, she embraced life with a youthful heart. She loved crystals, anything spiritual, and absolutely anything purple. She was such a big Star Wars fan that she even had a cat she named Yoda (who we will now be caring for).

Unfortunately, after her death we learned that the policy she had was only an accidental death and dismemberment policy, which does not provide any payout in her situation. She did have a couple of smaller policies, but we’re worried they won’t be enough to fully settle her debts. This has left us facing unexpected expenses with little to no support from insurance.

We are raising funds to help cover my mom’s funeral costs and to plan a memorial service to celebrate her life and spirit. Any remaining support will help our family recover from the financial impact of this difficult time.
