Hi, my name is Amen and I am fundraising for my friend Evbade, who has become a sister. She was diagnosed with Meningioma in 2016, had surgery in 2016 and 2019. She relocated with her family to the UK in 2022 in a bid to have access to better health care. While in the UK, there was a reoccurrence and she was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. So far, she has had 3 surgeries, and was about to have a fourth when the Doctors realized that they could not carry out the surgery as they discovered that the tumour had spread to her spine. Doctors have also determined that they are no longer able to operate or perform any further medical procedures on her, and as a result referred her to the hospice for special care.

My dear friend Evbade has decided to not be in the hospice and has rather gone home so that she can be surrounded by her family. Her parents, siblings, and spouse have exhausted their funds as they have been supporting since the diagnosis in 2016; and they can no longer afford to carry it alone. Her husband has become her primary caregiver as well as the sole caregiver of their son who is only 8 years old and is hence unable to work. Right now, paying the medical bills and living expenses has become almost impossible for her and her family to carry alone, hence the need for this fundraising.

Her family and her have decided to also try alternative medicine, which costs a lot of money. Help is needed to cover daily bills, including rent, and other living expenses.

We are raising funds to help with:

Daily living expenses (rent, food, utilities)

Holistic/alternative medicine and supplements that may help manage her pain and give her some strength

Basic caregiving supplies (home care materials, transportation, etc.)

Childcare and schooling support for her young son.
