My name is Deena, and I am a family friend of the Piatkowski's.
For over two years, Evan has been bravely battling astrocytoma with piloid features, a rare and inoperable form of brain cancer. Just starting life after high school, Evan had so much ahead of him, but this diagnosis turned every day into a relentless uphill challenge for him and his family.
Before his illness, Evan was full of life. He loved hockey, hunting, fishing with his Dad and brother, Zak, and making memories at camp with friends and family. Even just hanging out with friends at home or playing video games were some of his favorite things to do. His larger-than-life presence, infectious smile, and bright energy left a lasting impression on everyone who met him. Above all, his love for his family—his Mom, Christy; Dad, Rich; and brother, Zak—has been his greatest fortitude. The bond they share is unbreakable, and it is their love and strength that have carried him through this unimaginable journey.
Evan and his family have been living at the hospital, facing immense challenges every day with gratitude and cherishing every moment with him. To help ease their financial burden please consider making a donation as these funds will go toward medical expenses, transportation, and fulfilling Evan’s final wishes with dignity and love.
Any contribution, big or small, will provide vital support, allowing the family to focus on what matters most and honor Evan’s legacy.
Thank you for your kindness and unwavering support during this difficult time. Together, we can help Evan’s family honor his spirit in the way he deserves.
