This fundraiser is for some of the most deserving people I know. They only ask for prayers & are always there for others so this is to help with some of the financial burden, a bucket list, & above all to lift their spirits through all the people who love & care about them. Our family would appreciate any help that y’all can offer, even if it’s just prayers.
My Uncle Lamar was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of brain cancer on April 11, 2017 & it has taken such a toll on his body especially with having Crohn's Disease since he was 17. It has been rough for him tolerating the high dose steroids, seizure medications, chemo, & radiation.
He was a coach & teacher for numerous schools over the years in Alpine, Menard, Big Lake, Sonora, and Junction. He is such a great man who has made a huge impact on so many lives. He’s always faithful, goes the extra mile for others, says the best prayers, is hilarious, & he’s a hard working country man who deserves all the love & support possible.
My Aunt Karen is still working while also driving them to his appointments almost 7 hours away to MD Anderson for treatment.
I have looked up to them my whole life & they have been so faithful to God for as long as I’ve known them & throughout this tough journey. They have both brought so much joy to this world & are true warriors.
Please pray for Lamar, Karen, my cousins Madison, Damon, & the rest of our family during this difficult time. Feel free to share, put in prayer requests at church, & believe that prayers can move mountains!
