As most of you know, Evan was involved in a major boat vs SeaDoo accident Saturday, July 25th on Long Lake. Evan is only 25—a hardworking, caring, kind-hearted man who would help anyone in need. He suffered lacerations to his face and a shattered leg, but the most concerning injury was a severed arm that was also broken in two places. The surgeon was able to reattach his arm and stabilize all fractures, but it is still unknown whether blood flow will resume. He received excellent care from the local EMTs, Fort Kent ER, life flight, and Northern Light Health Bangor. He had his first of many surgeries to come last night. He is currently intubated and sedated to help get him through the worst pains unimaginable.
Evan and his parents will be staying in Bangor for weeks, if not months, as he faces a long road ahead of more surgeries and therapy. All three will be out of work for the duration of this hard hurdle. The Pelkey family is grateful for any prayers, support, or encouragement during this time. Your generosity will help cover medical expenses, travel, lodging, and daily needs while Evan recovers and his parents support him through every step.
To help the Pelkey family, please feel free to donate, pray, or send a kind supportive word of encouragement. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
