Our family is heartbroken by the loss of my mother, Esperanza, who was a loving mother, wife and a friend to many. She was the type of person always reaching out to others to see how they are doing and always quick to offer them a warm meal. During family events, she was always the light of the party and was also someone who loved living life to the fullest. Sadly, my mother passed away today (1/09) from liver failure after months of excruciating pain and hospital visits. It was a difficult journey for my mother from the constant switching of hospitals to address her issues to also dealing with one causing her an infection on her hand. Our family often visited her during her hospital stays trying to encourage her while also communicating with the different staff to ensure my mother's health concerns were addressed.
As we grieve her loss and this immense emptiness left in us, we are also facing some significant financial challenges. We are seeking assistance from those who knew her or those who would want to support in helping cover both the funeral expenses and rent that has accumulated throughout her hospital stays. My brother who resided with my mother is unable to work due to a disability and it has been difficult managing all these costs. My mother during her last months of life had not been able to work due to her constant visits to the hospital and towards the end long periods of being hospitalized. Your support will not only assist us in honoring my mother's memory but relieve us with some of the financial stress and ensure that my brother can remain in his home.
We are deeply appreciative for any help whether big or small during this excruciating time. Your kindness and generosity will make a big difference for our family as we navigate the loss of my mother and also attempt in keeping her spirit alive in our hearts.
Nuestra familia está desconsolada por la pérdida de mi madre, Esperanza, quien fue una madre y esposa amorosa y una amiga para muchos. Era una persona que siempre se preocupaba por los demás, preguntándoles cómo estaban y ofreciéndoles siempre una comida caliente. En las reuniones familiares, siempre era el alma de la fiesta y disfrutaba de la vida al máximo. Lamentablemente, mi madre falleció hoy (1/09) a causa de una insuficiencia hepática, después de meses de un dolor insoportable y numerosas visitas al hospital. Fue un camino difícil para mi madre, con constantes traslados entre hospitales para tratar sus problemas de salud, además de una infección en la mano que contrajo en uno de ellos. Nuestra familia la visitaba con frecuencia durante sus estancias en el hospital, intentando animarla y comunicándose con el personal médico para asegurarse de que se atendieran sus necesidades de salud.
Mientras lamentamos su pérdida y el inmenso vacío que nos ha dejado, también nos enfrentamos a importantes dificultades económicas. Buscamos la ayuda de quienes la conocieron o de quienes deseen apoyarnos para cubrir los gastos del funeral y el alquiler acumulado durante sus estancias en el hospital. Mi hermano, que vivía con mi madre, no puede trabajar debido a una discapacidad, y nos ha resultado difícil afrontar todos estos gastos. Durante sus últimos meses de vida, mi madre no pudo trabajar debido a sus constantes visitas al hospital y, al final, a sus largas hospitalizaciones. Su apoyo no solo nos ayudará a honrar la memoria de mi madre, sino que también aliviará parte de nuestra carga financiera y garantizará que mi hermano pueda permanecer en su hogar.
