Ernie McKinney is not just my coworker, but a dear friend. Recently, his young son was involved in a very bad hunting accident, and has tragically passed away. The family is devastated, and while I want to respect their privacy by not sharing details, I hope you can feel the seriousness of what they’re facing. This is a time of uncertainty and worry for everyone who cares about them.

In moments like these, it’s hard to know how to help or what to say. Ernie and his family are doing everything they can to support their son and each other, but the emotional toll is immense. They are surrounded by friends, coworkers, and loved ones who want to lift them up, and I know that every bit of encouragement and support makes a difference.

If you know Ernie you know he’s a great guy all around. He loves his boys , hunting, racing, Reeces and his Family. If you talk to him you know that’s all he talks about. Ernie is a family man without a doubt and everyone knows he will do anything for his family. He does his best and is a great dad to some great kids.

Support from this fundraiser will help Ernie’s family with the many challenges they’re facing right now, allowing them to focus on being together and supporting each other. We all know things can get overwhelming and expensive and I feel like that should be the last thing they worry about during a time like this. Everything and anything is greatly appreciated. Prayers are needed most, but your support—no matter the amount—truly helps and takes a big burden off the family’s back.
