On Sunday, August 10 at 6:10, I received the worst news. My brother, Ernesto Rodriguez, known to many as "Neto," passed away. It brought me to my knees. I could never imagine getting that call. I mean, we all know death is inevitable, but knowing that your best friend/brother is no longer here is mind-numbing.
Ernesto is survived by his loving wife, 4 children, and 11 grandchildren.
What can I say about this man that many don't know? Besides that he was an amazing person, my bestest friend, standing at 6'1" and 330-ish pounds, he was a teddy bear with a kind and giving soul. I had the privilege of calling him my brother.
Ernesto was a proud Majestic (Glendale, AZ) member. He repped that S@!T to the fullest, from LA to AZ to Beijing, repping the M. He bled blue and gold and loved all his members.
My heart goes out to the Rodriguez family. I want to let them know in times like this they are not alone. I love this family; they are my family. We, as a whole, should stand beside them. Whether family, friend, or even stranger, stand with me to help this family. Let them know that they are not alone in these dark times, that there is a light. Donate whatever you can to help with the cost of the funeral, so we together can relieve them of at least one thing on their plate.
It is my greatest hope we can raise enough money to help them. I know I can count on all Majestics and family to support. That's why I love my club.
To my brother Neto,
I love you, my boy. In due time, we'll meet again. You left us so soon. Words can't express the sadness that your family and friends feel. We will always miss you. You will never be forgotten. MAJESTICS HEAVEN CHAPTER got a new member.
