Erin is the type of person who takes care of everyone around her. She's raised two daughters, is a loving grandmother to Penelope, and is always the first to offer help to anyone who needs it. Now, she needs our help.
On November 10, Erin was taken to the emergency room in the middle of the night because she was having difficulty breathing. Once there, the doctors immediately identified that she was experiencing congestive heart failure. She had a blood pressure of 278/175 and her lungs had filled up with fluid. Soon after, they found she was experiencing damage to her kidneys.
Thanks to the expert care of the doctors, she's fortunate to have survived and be on the long road to recovery. But it is a long journey ahead and one that is going to prevent her from working. Covid had already very negatively affected her business, which relies heavily on tourism and Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Retailers had been unable to place orders from her and she had lost 2/3 of her revenue as a result.
We all know that Erin is incredibly hard working and isn't one to sit around, but this is a moment that life is requiring her to. We need her to relax and recover so she can return to work once her body has begun to heal and the doctors have more clearly identified the root cause of her condition. Whatever you can contribute to help her on this journey will help ensure that she's able to take the proper measures to regain her health and return to being the champion of others she's always been.
If you're not able to contribute financially, a nourishing meal, an errand, or even positive healing thoughts sent in her direction are excellent ways to chip in and help her. Thank you so much for considering.
