Support for Eric’s Recovery After Devastating Burn Accident

We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and coworker Kathleen, whose 34-year-old son Eric was recently involved in a tragic and freak accident. Eric sustained third-degree burns over 40 percent of his body and is currently in the intensive care unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Due to the extent of his injuries and severe swelling, Eric is currently on a ventilator. Doctors estimate he will remain in the ICU for at least a month and that his full recovery will take a year or more.

Kathleen is one of the most generous, kind-hearted people you could ever meet. She is always the first to offer help to anyone in need, no matter the circumstance. If you’ve ever been a patient here in Falmouth and received care from Kathleen, you already know what kind of person she is. She is a true angel who gives her all to everyone she cares for.

Now, she is the one who needs our support. Kathleen already suffered the unimaginable loss of one son, and this new tragedy has shaken her world. Her love for Eric is unwavering, and she is doing everything she can to stay strong for him.

Kathleen works incredibly hard and never hesitates to give the shirt off her back for someone else.
