Support for Eric Jessee’s Recovery and Family Travel Expenses
On what should have been a joyful mission trip to Lithuania with Kingsland Baptist Church, 23-year-old Eric Jessee suffered a tragic accident. During a day at the beach, Eric dove into the water and sustained a devastating spinal cord injury. He shattered his C5 vertebra and nearly drowned. Though he miraculously survived, he is now paralyzed and facing a long and uncertain road to recovery.
Eric currently has slight movement in both legs, but it’s too early to know if he will ever walk again. He has spent over two weeks in a hospital in Lithuania, and his devoted mother, Jenn Marie Jessee, immediately traveled overseas to be by his side, along with other family members. They have remained there through every step, advocating for him and making difficult medical decisions in a foreign country.
Eric is scheduled to return home to Virginia on Monday, but his journey is just beginning. He will require extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and support. The costs will be significant — not only for his ongoing treatment, but also for the emergency travel and lodging expenses the family incurred while in Lithuania.
My name is Maria Mathewson, and I met Jenn Marie through Pampered Chef years ago, and have remained friends ever since. I’ve always admired Jenn’s heart, and now I want to give back to someone who has given so much to others.
Please consider donating to help relieve the financial burden on the Jessee family during this incredibly difficult time. Every dollar helps and every prayer counts. Thank you for standing with Eric and Jenn Marie.
