Hello to everyone,

This has been the hardest year of my life. In January 2024, I was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease. My whole world got turned upside down. I have to go to dialysis three times a week, which caused my employer to let me go. I have no income. My husband, in order to take me to doctor's visits and numerous surgeries to get a fistula and perm cath put in, had his salary cut in half. It has become expensive for us since we don't have any money saved; we used it on our bills.

Disability has not yet approved my application. The state says it takes 240 days, so maybe I'll get an answer in February. I really do need help to keep my head above water. You can also read about my story on NKR.org.
