Support for EMT's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
This is humbling for me, I do not like to ask for help. As an EMT, I am used to helping others and miss doing so very much.
On July 25, 2023, I was working out of Station 03 in the Bronx. We were responding to an emergency call when our ambulance was struck at an intersection by a speeding SUV.
Very unfortunately, I sustained significant injuries that have kept me out of work since the day of the accident. The accident injured my right shoulder which required surgery to repair, caused herniations in my cervical spine and post concussion syndrome as well as a more severe brain issue that could also require surgery. To say the least, it has been a long and somewhat scary road to recovery for me, all from one accident. I am fighting hard to stay positive and get back to 100%, so I can get back to doing what I enjoy, helping others.
I had been able to maintain financially, but did not expect to have been out of work for so long as a result of this accident. Things are now beginning to get a little difficult. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading my story & please be careful out there - one accident can affect your life and health a great deal. Be safe!
