Support for Emory Rockafellow and Family

Donation protected
Emory (Allen, "Rocky") Rockafellow was involved in a major 3 semi accident on I-70 in Indiana on Monday night November 30th while working. He is in critical, but stable condition in the ICU at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has multiple facial fractures including cheek bones, nose and mouth. He has broken ribs on the right side (ribs 7-9). He had lacerations to his liver and right kidney that have since been resolved with surgery.  A neck MRI showed he has separation and fracture in his neck (c6-c7). Surgery for his neck is scheduled for 3pm today (12/3). There are no fractures in his limbs. Emory is alert and responsive, however he is intubated. The hospital is slowly decreasing oxygen in hopes to take the tube out soon.  Shy, his wife, had a video with him yesterday and he was able to give her a "thumbs up". He has a long road to recovery, but all that know him know that he is a stubborn old man that won't give up.

The accident was not his fault, there was another accident that had happened right before this one. There were people in the road so he swerved to avoid hitting them and crashed into the back of another semi. The police officer is not giving any tickets or citations as there was approximately 3 inches of ice abruptly on the road that he believes was the contributing factor of not being able to stop. All other drivers involved had no injuries.

In the meantime, Emory's Family needs our support with payments, house funds, grocery bills, utilities, and any other unforeseen expenses while Emory is unable to work. His family includes wife Shylynn, daughter Miranda, sons Kegan, David, Zandar, and Jay, and granddaughter Aurora. He also has 2 boys in Virginia that he supports as well.

Please keep Emory and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time as they are not able to visit him because of the strict COVID-19 protocols of the hospital.

Any dollar amount is appreciated, we know it has been a rough year for everyone, not to mention a rough time of year as well. Any and all updates will be posted here to try and lessen phone calls and texts.
