Our beautiful friend would appreciate some support as she navigates the challenges of breast cancer.
Known by many, and by many different names, Emma, Ems, Tanu, Leeli, Aunty Em, Emmy Lou, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024.
What we hoped was just a small lump in the breast turned out to be quite an aggressive cancer. A biopsy found that the cancer was consistent with metastatic carcinoma, which had matastosised and spread to underarm lymph nodes, neck and back. Ems underwent surgery on December 20th and is currently awaiting test results to help inform further actions.
Our friend is currently undergoing her healing journey but has found making plans for the future really difficult with all the uncertainty and unpredictability of her diagnosis. We are humbly seeking financial support whilst Ems is unable to work. Help would be greatly appreciated - Emma has run out of guitars to sell to raise money to support herself. :)
Looking forward, there are substantial costs associated with ongoing treatment, such as physiotherapy sessions to address a recent ‘cording’ diagnosis. The cost of living is also really high right now, and any raised funds will also go towards transport, rent and out-of-pocket expenses.
As we all know, Ems is a real ‘doer’ and has had many achievements, always working towards her hopes and dreams. Not working and contributing to her communities, especially her loved ones at the Krishna farm, is a real challenge for her. Any support is humbly appreciated. No amount is too small, as it all adds up. If financial help isn’t an option for you currently, prayers and hugs are also invaluable at this difficult time.
We thank you for your generosity. Hari bol.
