Over the last few years my family and I have got to know Emma & Sam Germain through our children being in the same classes at Penyfai School.

Their daughter Evie (6) is in class with Chiara, their son Theo (3) is in class with Elijah.

Over the last 6 months Emma has undergone treatment to cure a very rare cancer called Burkitt Lymphoma. It appeared out of nowhere!

To say it's hard to watch such a lovely young family go through such a thing is an understatement!

Every day we see Sam at the school and can't imagine how difficult it is for them to manage daily treatments and two young children.

Emma and Sam are fighting the disease as hard as possible. Unfortunately Sam does not get compassionate leave from work.

This is where the idea for this page comes in.

For the last 2 months I have undergone a challenge.

To run 300 miles over 100 days, at a minimum of 2 miles per day....

I finish on Sept 7th 2024.

At the time of writing I am 69 days and 215 miles into the challenge.

I started slower in June as Im not a runner; in April my total miles ran was a massive 6 :-)
