Emily is my co-worker and friend, and she is truly one of the hardest working people I know. Recently, Emily’s husband suddenly passed away, leaving her to care for their two children on her own. Her husband was a stay-at-home dad, and Emily has been working two jobs for the longest time to support her family. She has no family nearby, as her parents and relatives are all in China, so she is facing this loss without the comfort of close family support.

Emily is incredibly humble and never asks anyone for anything. She always puts her kids first and works tirelessly to provide for them. As a co-worker, she is the best teammate anyone could ask for—kind, supportive, and always willing to help others. It’s heartbreaking to see her go through such a difficult time, and I can’t imagine the weight she is carrying right now.
