We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for prayers and support for my dear cousin in the Philippines, who is currently fighting for her life after giving birth prematurely at just 31 weeks.

What was supposed to be a joyful moment quickly turned into a medical emergency. She underwent an emergency C-section, but shortly after, she experienced severe complications. She had to undergo another surgery due to internal hemorrhaging and is now battling acute renal failure, requiring dialysis. Her blood pressure remains unstable, and she is under close monitoring in critical condition.

At the same time, her newborn baby is also receiving full medical care in the hospital and is being closely monitored by the medical team in the neonatal unit.

This has been an incredibly emotional and overwhelming time for our family. Along with the fear and uncertainty, the medical expenses continue to grow due to multiple surgeries, intensive care, dialysis, and ongoing treatments.

Update: It is with the heaviest hearts that we share that the baby has unfortunately passed away. Despite the doctors’ efforts and the prayers of so many, our family has suffered the unimaginable loss of this precious little life.

We are now grieving deeply while continuing to stay strong for my cousin, who remains in the hospital fighting for her own life. She is still facing serious complications, undergoing dialysis, receiving intensive treatment, and being closely monitored by her medical team.

The emotional pain of losing the baby while watching my cousin continue to battle for recovery has been devastating for our entire family. We continue to hold on to faith, hope, and prayers that she will heal and make it through this difficult time.
