I am a current Embry Riddle student who was recently struck by a car while riding my bike home during finals. The accident left me with three chipped vertebrae and I was taken to the trauma center by ambulance. Despite these injuries, I managed to complete my classes and finals online, but I missed the opportunity to start my summer job due to the time needed for healing. The driver who hit me had only the Florida state minimum insurance for bodily harm, which unfortunately left me with significant medical bills. On top of that, my e-bike and computer were destroyed in the accident.

The funds raised will help me cover summer rent and food, replace my e-bike, and hopefully contribute toward my fall tuition. During my recovery, I have spent my downtime writing for more scholarships to help with my education expenses. This community has truly become my family, and I am so grateful for your love and support, especially when my own family is gone. People sometimes tell me I should not have chosen such an expensive university, but my experience here has been priceless. Knowing that all of my professors and counselors are close by to help has made a huge difference. I also have several Eagle moms who contact me weekly to check in and support me with prayers and gifts.
