Hi, my name is Nancy McCrea and I'm fundraising for Ellis McKinnon, my niece. Ellis is going into Grade 10 at Hampton High. She plays basketball and just started working at Tim Horton's recently. To our horror, Ellis,who is 15, suffered a stroke early Sunday morning, August 11. She had surgery that day and is currently in hospital while her doctors investigate what led to her stroke, as well as what rehabilitation / therapy/treatment Ellis will require in the upcoming months. I hope that this fundraiser can help ease the financial stress on her family while her mom and dad try to be with Ellis as much as possible while she is going through this. Heather has been with her 24/7 and will continue to be off work for the foreseeable future and there is the possibility that Ellis will need to be treated at the IWK.
