Dear friends of Ellen-

As many of you know, Ellen has been diagnosed with retroperitoneal cancer. She is currently at the UW Medical Center in Seattle recovering from extensive abdominal surgery. Once she's healed from surgery she will be using chemo to shrink remaining tumors and then healing from a second surgery.

As you can imagine, Ellen is currently unable to work and yet still has to support herself and Cora as well as pay the expenses related to travel off island as well as any medical expenses that are not covered by insurance.

We've started this GoFundMe so that Ellen can concentrate on healing while we work to get other supports in place.
