My name is Elizabeth, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart as my family navigates an unimaginable loss. On January 28th, my brother passed away, leaving our family completely shattered.

My brother was the life of the party always laughing, making jokes, and bringing energy wherever he went. He loved going out and enjoying life whenever he could, and he was unapologetically himself. He was known for his love of Raiders, skulls, constantly dyeing his hair, and standing out in his own unique way. Most of all, he deeply loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who meant everything to him. His laughter and presence are irreplaceable, and our family is heartbroken learning how to live without him.

My father, an elderly widower has now lost his son. No parent should ever have to endure that kind of pain. As he mourns, he is also facing the heartbreaking reality that he cannot afford to lay his child to rest. My brother is still at the morgue, and the emotional weight of knowing my father doesn’t feel he has the means to bring his son home has been devastating for our entire family.

As if this loss wasn’t enough, my father recently discovered that his home has a severe termite infestation and must be tented for treatment. The timing could not be worse. He is grieving, vulnerable, and financially struggling while facing multiple overwhelming challenges at once.

I am currently handling the arrangements and finances for my brother’s services during this time. I am also going through a divorce after 25 years of marriage, which has significantly reduced my income and financial stability. Along with other unexpected expenses and financial hardships, this has made an already painful situation even more difficult to manage.

The funds raised will first go toward my brother’s cremation and a celebration of his life, so we can honor him with the dignity and love he deserves. Any additional support will help with urgent home repairs, essential expenses, and basic living costs for our family as we try to find stability during this incredibly difficult time.
