Elizabeth Carmon, my sister, was considered high risk throughout her pregnancy. She bravely made it to 39 weeks and went in for an induction, hopeful to meet her baby girl. Everything seemed fine, but when Harmony was born, she was sleeping and never got the chance to take her first breath.
Elizabeth is a single mother with no job, living with our parents who support her as best they can. The loss of Harmony has left our family heartbroken, and Elizabeth will soon be released from the hospital to face this grief mostly alone, as our parents both work full time. We are hoping to provide meal support to ease her transition and help her focus on healing. Additionally, we want to fund an autopsy to help Elizabeth and our family understand what went wrong with Harmony or during delivery, so we can find answers and begin to process this tragedy.
We ask for privacy, love, and support during this difficult time. Any help you can offer will mean so much to Elizabeth and our family as we navigate this unimaginable loss.
